We will gather around the tables for dinner and communion on Maundy Thursday. If your family plans to attend, please RSVP by March 29. There is no cost for the meal but an offering for CBF Global Missions will be collected.

Thursday, April 2

5:30 p.m.

On Good Friday, you are invited to walk “the way of sorrows” to the cross, but through the eyes and experiences of one of Jesus’ closest disciples. As a nod to the Stations of the Cross, this experience highlights Peter’s role in the crucifixion narrative. In this way, we follow Jesus to his death with Peter as our companion. By focusing on Peter, we imagine how we might have acted and behaved had we been there as one of Jesus’ followers and friends.

This is a family-friendly experience.

Self-guided stations will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

A group journey through the stations will be held at 5:30 p.m.

Friday, April 3

We will join other congregations in our area for an Easter sunrise service at the Rutherfordton Cemetery. Following the brief service, all are invited to St. Francis Episcopal for a free community breakfast.
