It's no wonder that the word journey is used as a metaphor for the spiritual life. From beginning to end, the Bible is a collection of journeys. We have the honor of reading the journeys - the frustrating, beautiful, anxious, hilarious, and humbling journeys - of the saints who went before us and how those journeys shaped the narrative of their life. What a gift it is to join our story with theirs! We are part of the story, and we each have a journey to share.

Advent is the first season of the Christian year. We begin the year by preparing, getting ready, and waiting for Christmas as if we are going on a trip! We find the meaning of Christmas throughout this journey. As the old saying goes, the journey is the destination. This is the way to Christmas.
